Bobby Roberts

Bobby  Roberts (Rumor Control) -

I used to co-host a talkshow on broadcast radio, back when that was still a thing. It was called Cort And Fatboy. It’s obviously done now, after a run of about 8 years. We were pretty good, I think. Then I helped create “Jay and Miles X-Plain the X-Men,” which is still ongoing and amazing, and then I helped create “’80s All Over,” too, which got unfortunately cut short. I also used to be a semi-regular on this show, in fact! But I’m not anymore. I’m more like a Force Ghost at this point, really. A hobbit-shaped, faintly glowing Force Ghost, floating somewhere in the Pacific Northwest.

I work at a newspaper now. It’s called the Portland Mercury. This is some of the stuff they’ve let me write.

I got the nickname Fatboy from my friends in high school, who noted both my gender and my body-type. I had very uninspired friends. My real name is Bobby Roberts. I have very redundant parents. I’m no longer fat, and I’m no longer all that young, and I really don’t use the nickname at all anymore, so that’s quite the solid slab of contradictions going on. Do I contradict myself? Very well then, I contradict myself. I am large, I contain multitudes.

I stole that last bit from Whitman.
